After six years in the field of education and teaching, Pamela's love of the outdoors took priority and led her to pursue a career in outdoor education and guiding.

Pamela spends her winters in Kimberley, BC, working as a ski instructor. Her spring and summers are spent on Vancouver Island as a sea kayak guide and as an outdoor educator for school groups.

The fall brings her and the polar bears to Churchill, MB. After visiting Churchill for the first time on holidays, the town, it's people, northern ecology and of course the bears inspire her to return again and again.
