Residing in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Walter is a retired science educator. His interests in science have been enhanced by the many adventures he has escorted to the Churchill and Wager Bay areas.

While guiding, Walter enjoys helping his guests find great opportunities to view and photograph the flora and fauna of the region. Walter also loves to share information about the geological and human histories of these regions. Whether it is by walking the tundra ecosystem, riding zodiacs amongst the beluga whales, or searching for polar bears on a Tundra Buggy, the photo opportunities are endless. He is looking forward to this year viewing his first Ross's Gull.
