Ice break-up in spring brings droves of beluga whales to the Churchill River. The beluga whales enjoy the summer months of July and August in the Churchill River where the river water is warmer than the ocean water and the whales are able to feed on crustaceans. Summer is the perfect time to visit Churchill and we offer exciting itineraries including beluga whale watching, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, Tundra Buggy Adventures and town and area tours. As well, you'll have time to enjoy other attractions in Churchill such as the Eskimo Museum, Parks Canada facility and the town complex. Visitors can choose from a number of gift shops where souvenirs range from postcards to hand-made Inuit wall hangings and stone carvings. This tour offers a complete program, priced and packaged out of Winnipeg, our gateway city.
