Join us on a rare journey across arctic waters to experience the wildlife and people of the true north. Aboard an expedition class ship, you’ll sail on Hudson Bay as the early explorers did. You’ll meet with local Inuit as we travel to this remote, virtually undiscovered part of the world.
Your home away from home will be an expedition vessel designed to operate in ice-covered waters. Various itineraries allow for dramatic sightings of nesting thick-billed murres, beluga whales, seals, walrus and polar bears in their natural environments.
All itineraries include flights to/from Montreal, connecting directly to and from the ship on the start and finish days/places. Please note that Hudson Strait Expedition Cruise prices are all presented in USD.
The High Arctic - During this amazing voyage you will cross the Arctic Circle and experience breathtaking wilderness, narrow fiords and the cliffs of Bylot Island. Planned stops on our journey include Auyuittuq National Park, Pond Inlet, Bylot Island, Lancaster Sound and Arctic Bay. Ship to shore excursions via zodiac. Wildlife sightings may include walrus, bowhead and beluga whales, polar bears and murres. With troves of amazing experiences to cherish, once in Arctic Bay we depart on our flight back to Montreal.
Arctic Odyssey - This unique adventure cruises along the Arctic coastline in search of wildlife, walking on the tundra and visiting remote, traditional Inuit communities. Unique to this expedition, visit Cape Dorset, the Inuit art capital of the world. Here, enjoy exquisite soapstone carvings, scrimshaw, lithographic prints, etchings, and fine sculptures. This program also pays a visit to Churchill, Manitoba where you will get a chance to be up close and personal with over 3,000 beluga whales.
