Congratulations to Robert Buchanan

We would like to extend a huge congratulations to Polar Bears International President and CEO Robert Buchanan for being awarded the 2010 George B. Rabb Conservation medal from the Chicago Zoological Society! Robert and PBI are recognized for their role in helping people understand the importance of polar bears and their habitat and empowering individuals to have a sense of immediacy about how we take care of the planet.

Churchill to Budapest

FNA Wins International Ecotourism Award

We are very proud to announce that we have won the 2009 Skål International Ecotourism Award in the Tour Operator and Travel Agent category!

Skål, an international association since in 1934 is the largest organization of travel and tourism professionals in the world, with locations in 90 Countries and over 20,000 members. Skål International initiated an awards program in 2002 to encourage the conservation of the environment and help to promote the development of responsible and sustainable tourism.

As the winner of this year’s award, we demonstrated excellence in contributing to the conservation of nature and cultural heritage conservation, community involvement and benefits, educational features, business viability and innovation with our adventures in Churchill.

Our GM, John Gunter, was presented with the award this past weekend during the Opening Ceremony of the 70th Skål World Congress held in Budapest, Hungary.
