Commissioned by the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History to create an exhibit detailing the world’s eight bear species, Jenny E. Ross traveled with us to Churchill to experience and learn about majestic polar bears. In 2002 and 2003, Ms. Ross joined us at Legendary Cape Churchill to observe and photograph polar bears in the wild. After in-depth, first-hand exposure to our operation on the fragile tundra, Ms. Ross nominated Frontiers North’s Tundra Buggy® Adventure for the Manitoba Ecotourism award.

Each year the Ecotourism award is bestowed upon an organisation having developed a tourism product that best demonstrates a non-consumptive connection to nature. The product must be educational and not only sensitive to the ecological, cultural and economic integrity of the host community, but as well must benefit the community.

On Friday, April 29th, 2005, at a gala banquet attended by nearly 1,000 people in Brandon, Manitoba, we proudly accepted this important award from Travel Manitoba. As the number one polar bear safari company in the world, we at Frontiers North are proud of our Commitment to Conservation.
