Pioneers and Innovators

In the late 1970’s the first Tundra Buggy® was built bringing guests face to face with the mighty polar bear and igniting an entire tourism industry.

More than 30 years later we carry on this legacy by continuing to develop adventures in unexplored parts of Canada’s north. We are always innovating and pioneering technologies that both enhance the experience of our guests and at the same time ensure the least impact on the pristine environments where we travel.

Adventuring in Canada’s north

Our experience living in the North has enabled us to create some of the most unique and exclusive travel opportunities in the world.

Our adventures are about experiencing what it means and feels like to live in the north. We achieve this by incorporating local culture, sharing our history, interacting closely with wildlife, and respecting the landscape.

Exclusive Insider Access

We’ve worked tirelessly to create and meet standards that allow us to provide our guests with access to some truly extraordinary places in Canada's North.

Working alongside local Inuit, Aboriginal and First Nations as well as Manitoba Conservation, Parks Canada and others we have built relationships that enable our guests to have exclusive insider access. In addition to having permits to access areas of the Churchill Wildlife Management Area where only Frontiers North Adventures can go, we are also the only travel company with a license to host guests to stay at Cape Churchill in Wapusk National Park.

Committed to Conservation & Sustainability

Canada’s north is home to many species of arctic wildlife that rely on a pristine environment.

When exploring the Churchill Wildlife Management Area we safari exclusively on an established network of trails, created by the military in the 1950s, ensuring no damage is done to the fragile tundra. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our infrastructure to be the most energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly as possible. From grey-water systems which allow us to re-use our water to creating our own recycling program and leading shoreline clean-ups, we believe any contribution we make should positively impact the places where we host guests. Which is why we support conservation and environmental initiatives that impact Canada's North directly in our own backyard.

In-depth firsthand knowledge

We have the relationships with the right people on the land that make the difference between a cool vacation and an amazing, intimate adventure.

Our adventures are planned by wildlife and nature enthusiasts who understand the complexity of travel in the north but who also value exploration, community and life-changing travel experiences. Through our exclusive partnership with Polar Bears International, we provide our guests the opportunity to learn first-hand from species and environmental experts who join our trips. The chance to engage with wildlife experts take the experience to another level for our guests who go home with a richer and deeper understanding of the challenges that arctic wildlife face.

We take care of you

Our adventures are worry-free. Our staff work tirelessly behind-the-scenes before, during and after your adventure taking care of every detail so that you can focus on having the journey of a lifetime.

Our local staff are available so that should you encounter any sort of issue, we will be there to assist. Travel in Canada's North can be difficult as we venture out to remote communities and areas that are accessible only by custom-built vehicles. Our goal is to send you home having had a smooth, worry-free vacation.
